We no longer offer exchange off the shelf engines. This may appear to be a bit control freak-ish, but we like to offer the complete service, from the removal and stripping down of the engine, the overhaul, the refit and also included in an overhaul we insist that the vehicle with the new engine is brought back to us after approx. 500 miles so that we can torque down the cylinder heads and give it a check over.
Our engines have:-
- Re-bored cylinder block to within 0.001" tolerance.
- Crank re-ground, tuftrided and balanced (With complete rotating assembly).
- Proper radiuses on journals.
- Counter sunk oil feed holes on crank.
- Block chemically cleaned after machining.
- Cylinder heads rebuilt using new followers, springs and bronze alloy guides.
- New timing chains, oil pump and a refurbished water pump are fitted.
- In addition we can offer upgrades, e.g. aluminium radiator, electronic distributor, silicone hoses etc.
